This page records the evidence baseline and material revisions behind DomainSabre's .UK transition guidance. It distinguishes when an official source was observed, when our explanation was reviewed and when a rule is scheduled to take effect. Checking a source does not mean it changed that day.
Baseline: 3 November 2026
Entry ID: baseline-2026-11-03
Sources observed: 3 November 2026
Explanation reviewed: 3 November 2026
State: scheduled transition; legacy procedures still current
Scheduled date: 9 February 2027
Confirmed effective date: not recorded; the transition has not been treated as active
This is the initial recorded baseline for these resources. It does not claim that Nominet changed all of the following material on 3 November, and it does not backdate the publication of DomainSabre's guides.
| Reviewed topic | What the baseline establishes | Affected readers and next action |
|---|---|---|
| Effective date | The announcement and formal notice name 9 February 2027; the notice provides for delay | All readers: retain the current/scheduled distinction in the overview |
| Transfers and lifecycle | Procedures need to be read with the state-dependent transition guidance | Owners and registrar teams: review transfers and expiry before scheduling an operation |
| Environment availability | The dedicated testbed page says OT&E has not launched; Dragon demo signup is open | Portal and technical teams: use the appropriate environment |
| EPP authentication | The certificate guidance retains an IP compatibility statement alongside future-looking removal language | Technical teams: document the applicable setup and resolve migration timing through EPP preparation |
| Data interfaces | Credentialled RDAP guidance distinguishes testbed details and future production support | Integration and reporting teams: review data-service dependencies |
| Governance | The governance framework is developing while policy obligations remain tied to transition | Registrar teams: do not infer a general compliance grace period; check customer communications |
What to do with this baseline
Use the readiness checklist to assign relevant work. A registrar planning cutover should also review transition checks, especially outstanding transfers and records that cannot be migrated using a single expiry-date formula.
The important output is a clear decision: the source you used, the procedure it applies to and any question that remains unresolved. For instance, a dedicated current demo-access page is stronger evidence of that environment's availability than an older FAQ sentence forecasting access. That does not make the demo evidence of EPP or production readiness.
How later entries are handled
A material entry should identify the changed source or interpretation, the affected guides, the action a reader may need to revisit and the applicable effective state. An unchanged source check should not become a new “policy change” entry or refresh every article's publication date.
If a source becomes inaccessible, its last successful review date remains the date of the evidence. If official explanations conflict on a material point, the affected guidance should identify the uncertainty and refer readers to Nominet for clarification. A scheduled date passing is not enough to convert the entire site to future procedures.
The change feed is for these registry explanations. It does not include marketplace offers or combine registry-update consent with launch-promotional consent. All reviewed entries remain readable here without an account.
